Master Racquet Technician RON YU has strung 23 grand slam winning sticks. He’s been touring the world with Roger Federer for the past decade. And before that, he strung championship racquets for Agassi, Wawrinka, Davenport and Hewitt. To name a few.
We met up with Ron in a hotel room in London where he was preparing Federer’s racquets during the 2019 ATP Finals.
On this episode, “Racquet Ron” Yu shares the intricacies of stringing Roger Federer’s racquets. He lets us know which technology changes he thinks would make the sport more interesting. And he tells us where he thinks his picture should go in the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
(Recorded November 15, 2019 – Released December 26, 2019).
